Swapping skis for racing cars: on 10 June 2023, five-time World Champion in Alpine skiing, Aksel Lund Svindal, found himself in unfamiliar territory. Behind the wheel of a 911 GT3 Cup car, the veteran downhill racer and Porsche Brand Ambassador was readying for a rolling start at the Circuit de la Sarthe, alongside a field of seasoned professionals in front of a record @24heuresdumans crowd. The daring Le Mans debut of the Norwegian skiing champion turned @carreracupscandinavia guest driver is now brought to life in a new short film, ‘A High Speed Portrait’. Introducing the Chronograph 1 Utility – Limited Edition. In the late 1970s, Porsche Design unveiled the iconic Military Chronograph, a timepiece ahead of its time. Due to its outstanding comfort and a high level of anti-glare readability, it turned out to be an ideal watch design for aviation. International air forces such as the US Air Force were so impressed with the timepiece that they equipped all their officers with this timepiece. Today, we are finally bringing this icon back and proudly present the Chronograph 1 Utility – Limited Edition. With features like the ultra-resistant case made from titanium carbide while keeping the iconic design reminiscent of the Military Chronograph, this new timepiece perfectly blends tradition with innovation.
