Daniel Wallace Instagram – Trash Can Kids ANNA BANANA For this floorshow I wanted to do a play on my own name and own drag aesthetic.And in Manchester I have a few friends that call me ‘Anna Banana’ so I thought this would be a cute homage to that and also to the 80’s trading cards. I wanted to be bright/cartoony but with a macabre twist. like a waitress serving up a banana split but eventually takes her own skin off.🍌 On paper I think the concept worked but in reality…well it just didn’t. I’ve been putting a brave face on it(tehe)but this was a major fail. But… that happens sometimes in performance…things go wrong….this just happened to be on a massive platform *shudders* Anyhoo it’s not how you fall but how you pick yourself (and your wig and face prosthetic)back up again.
