This recent photo is the last time I got to see and hang out with @kenblock43 . I started living with Ken at 17 years old and to look back and see all the childhood dreams we’ve accomplished together brings me tears of joy. We created @dcshoes together at such young ages with @damonway @colinmckay. We had such a bond in our mindsets which was that we could achieve anything we wanted, never give up, and never doubt ourselves with our potential together or alone. So proud I was able to be so close to and learn so much from this pioneer and visionary. I’ve met a lot of people throughout my career and lifetime, but Ken was by far the most brilliant brand / marketing visionary I’ve ever met. When the driving career started I was like… WTF he’s good at this too?? I / we all will forever miss Ken, but I will always carry the traits / knowledge I admired so much about him with me and apply them to my own life. What a gift to have been so close to such an amazing human being. #43forever
Getting back on top of your game is a rough process, one trick at a time is how you get the foundation set to build into some more difficult creative tricks. 30 years ago today we released the 2cnd @planbofficial video called Virtual Reality. This video still holds relevance in todays top level of modern day skateboarding innovations and progression, this video was way ahead of its time and set the tone of skateboarding standards and fundamentals for decades to come. I feel very blessed to have been a part of this vid with the some of the biggest legends in skateboarding history @miketernasky @jacobrosenberg productions 📹 ♥️🙏
Happy birthday to my big brother @damonway . We have been through hell and back, we have experienced so much life together and I owe him everything for believing in me, mentoring me and most importantly loving me.❤️🎂❤️

My brother @damonway and the history of us growing up learning to skate together goes so deep. Damon was a bit better out of us 2 and one of the leaders and best skaters in our legendary skate crew growing up called VSL. Damon and I were on the same path of someday becoming pro skateboarders rivaling hard at times but for some reason the higher power had a different plan for Damon. His role in the skate culture/ skate industry led to an empire of innovations. A cosmic event happened and changed Damons life path forever and changed our dynamic as bothers. Damon and I were always competing / rivaling against each other every day then a shift happened. It’s crazy Damon saw the opportunity of entrepreneurialship at age 18 and took on a role of building the businesses around my career and my skate culture peers . Damon and RIP @kblock43 were the pioneers of skater owned , founded and funded apparel and footwear brands. Damon also had the vision before anyone to converge art , fashion , music and skateboarding lifestyle into an apparel / footwear line and literally kicked off the whole street wear and skate shoe brand movement of the early 90s . If it wasn’t for Damon so many brands you know of today would never have been inspired or existed without the model proven and seeing how it was done first. My brother has been such a pioneer in the back drop of the skateboarding industry that became a major influencer to all action sport cultures but mostly music relevance, street art and pop culture fashion trends , even high fashion brands like Louis Vuitton has become aware of how critical street wear culture is and how these brands have such on influence with mainstream fashion trends and staying relevant. Just wanted to share this everyone because of how proud of his genius I truly am. @dcshoes @droorsclothing
