Such a brilliant party seeing so many friends. None more so than the Birthday Girl herself, the princess Emilia. XO🎶❤️
Thought I‘d share the odd musical offering with you! Playing guitar has kept me sane over the years while on location. Actors spend so much more time waiting than filming on a typical day. This helps me while away the time and it doesn’t mess with my acting head.
Hope you are enjoying Titans 3 as it draws to a close. Brenton and I became swift great mates when I joined Titans back in Season 2. Hanging out, playing guitar, tennis and taking in the good life of Toronto. He’s a lovely man with a beautiful family. @brentonthwaites #dctitans #bts
#Repost @rorylewisofficial Caravaggio Style Actor Portraits. Renaissance portraiture and the use of chiaroscuro by the masters has been of immense inspiration to my photographic style. For those unfamiliar, chiaroscuro is an oil painting technique, developed during the Renaissance. The technique uses strong tonal contrasts between light and dark to model three-dimensional forms. Artists such as Caravaggio used chiaroscuro for dramatic effect. Painting vivid religious depictions of light and shadow. Recently I captured a series of exceptionally detailed chiaroscuro portraits inspired by Caravaggio of actors René Auberjonois, Sir Patrick Stewart & Iain Glen. In these portraits I have attempted to emulate Caravaggio’s naturalism and dramatic lighting with photographic effect. Creating super detail of skin tone, texture and colour. Using inventive art direction I opted for vivid and stark expressions from the contemplation of René Auberjonois to the emotionless Sir Patrick Stewart and the wicked smile of Iain Glen.
Acting can feel like a very silly profession at times but then special moments like this come along. A meeting I will never forget. Her Grandfather was an extraordinarily brave man. #TheReliefofBelsen #Repost @howdybenjamin ・・・ I had to approach Khaleesi’s Jorah Mormont in the airport when we were moving to Singapore 🇸🇬 Why? Because we’d just finished watching all of #GameofThrones the week before but also this wonderful actor, Iain Glen, played Laura’s grandfather in the movie The Relief of Belsen. Laura’s grandfather saved many lives when the British Army liberated Belsen concentration camp in 1945. Iain Glen was shocked to be approached by me saying “hello, you played my wife’s grandfather in a movie please come and meet her” and not even mention Game of Thrones! 😂 He was really happy to meet the real life granddaughter and great grandchildren of one of the true life heros he had played in a movie 🎥 ! He was heading to Northern Ireland to shoot the next series of GoT, we told him we were heading to Singapore to live. AND then he said to Laura “and your grandfather lived in Singapore didn’t he?” He had done his research! Laura’s grandfather was Chief Medical Officer for the British Army in Singapore in the 1960s. Very cool and made us feel that it was a good luck moment, circle of life, for moving to Singapore 🇸🇬 @lauraantoniaphotography
Happy 60th Birthday, Doctor. Here I am as Father Octavian, with Matt Smith who was shooting his first ever episode… and receiving the world’s worst neck massage. #DoctorWho #DoctorWho60 #DoctorWhoDay

On Sunday at 7pm, 25 years after it originally aired, ‘Death of a Salesman’ is being repeated on BBC4. I think Arthur Miller is up there as one of the greatest playwrights of the 20th Century. ‘Death of a Salesman’ a masterpiece of modern tragedy. I was also lucky enough to play John Proctor in ‘The Crucible’ at the Royal Shakespeare Company, one of my favourite theatre roles. And I will never forget a weekend I spent at Miller’s House in Connecticut as he kindly gave his time talking about ‘The Man Who Had All the Luck’ which was the first play of his that I performed. A wise, kind and brilliant man.
Thanks to the multi talented actor, writer, director photographer @crisolimeno for this image. • • • #Repost @crisolimeno: Iain Glen profile. I have said before how much I respect and admire this gentleman and I’ll say it again!! So clever, so kind and so talented and suave.
Ever since seeing Jack Nicholson in Chinatown, I’d fancied playing a Private Eye. I got the chance being Jack in the #JackTaylor series. One of my favourite screen roles. The complete series is currently available on @stvplayeruk and @acorn_tv. 📷 Martin Maguire

#UkraineAppeal #Repost @disastersemergencycommittee ・・・ The response to our appeal so far has been absolutely staggering. Thank you! Donations are already making a huge difference. Some DEC member charities are in Ukraine right now working with local partners to deliver aid directly. Others are in bordering countries helping people who have arrived at the Ukrainian border. However, with 1.2 million people already fleeing, and the UN estimating that as many as 4 million could be displaced by the conflict, far more help is still needed. Please help us do more. Donate now. Link in @disastersemergencycommittee’s bio.
