Kibbutz Be’eri: a communal village on the Gaza border, and one that suffered one of the worst attacks by Hamas on October 7th. 85 murdered of the one thousand residents, and 26 taken captive.
What strikes me about this community is how peace-loving they are. They employed Gazans to work in their homes, led Israeli-Palestinian peace initiatives, and fought for a future of coexistence.

I’m in Israel this week. I’m here to listen, to learn, and to share what happened on October 7th and what’s been happening in the region since. My heart hurts for everyone affected by the evil of Hamas, and yes of course that includes Gazans and Palestinians who do not stand with these terrorists. These might be other people’s horror stories for now…but they can quickly become ours. That’s the scary reality we’re facing right now. Questions and comments this week are welcome. Hate is not. 🩵

Exactly one month ago today, over 1,400 men, women and children were massacred by Hamas terrorists in their homes, in the streets, and at the Nova Music Festival.
Over 240 Israelis and foreign nationals, including babies and Holocaust survivors, are currently being held hostage by Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
Today we remember the October 7th Massacre and stand with the victims of this barbaric and horrific terror attack.
