My first job. Still the same great burger! Happy Sunday!
Seattle has been my home since 1994 when I started Amazon out of my garage. That’s my dad behind the camera in this video, touring Amazon’s first “office.” My parents have always been my biggest supporters. They recently moved back to Miami, the place we lived when I was younger (Miami Palmetto High class of ’82 — GO Panthers!) I want to be close to my parents, and Lauren and I love Miami. Also, Blue Origin’s operations are increasingly shifting to Cape Canaveral. For all that, I’m planning to return to Miami, leaving the Pacific Northwest.
I’ve lived in Seattle longer than I’ve lived anywhere else and have so many amazing memories here. As exciting as the move is, it’s an emotional decision for me. Seattle, you will always have a piece of my heart.
Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful, incredible mom, and to all the amazing moms in my life. I love you, Mom!❤️
We are going to the Moon! Honored to be on this journey with @nasa to land astronauts on the Moon — this time to stay. #Artemis #MoonToMars

This year’s Bezos Day 1 Families Fund grants go to 40 incredible groups working to end homelessness in the U.S. In five years, we’ve given more than $500 million to 167 orgs – helping expand their support of families in need. Honored to support these groups.

My friend and a friend to many, Tom Alberg, has passed away. He was an early investor in Amazon and served on our board for 23 years. Tom was a visionary and also just a wonderful, good man. I was so lucky to have you in my life, Tom. We will all miss you dearly.
New trailer released at Comic-Con today #TheRingsofPower

We unveiled our nearly 3-story Blue Moon MK1 cargo lander demonstrator. MK1’s early missions will pave the way and prove technologies for our MK2 lander for @nasa’s Human Landing System. These landers hitch a ride into space in New Glenn’s 7-meter fairing. MK1 will be capable of delivering three metric tons to any location on the Moon’s surface. That capacity makes it ideal for a variety of logistics, infrastructure, and science payloads. Our Blue Moon landers are architected for that future day when lunar ice can be used to manufacture LOX and LH2 propellants on the Moon. Five plus years in the making. So much care, persistence, boldness, and beauty. What an amazing endeavor. The first two Kuiper prototypes are now safely orbiting 500 kilometers above the earth. Big milestone and much more to come!

The Bezos Earth Fund has granted $110M to protecting the Congo Basin, a critical ecosystem the world cannot afford to lose. That’s why we’re collaborating with partners across governments, businesses, and civil society to conserve 30% of the region by 2030.
This July, Earth Fund leadership, including @jeffbezos, @laurenwsanchez and @drandrewsteer, together with @jenmorrisnature, visited Gabon, one of the countries in the Congo Basin region.
75 million people depend on the water, food, materials, medicine and shelter the Congo Basin provides. It is also one of the world’s largest carbon sinks and thus functions as the heart of Africa and the lungs of the world.
As Wanjira Mathai, advisor to the Bezos Earth Fund, notes, “It’s going to take radical partnerships for us to get all of this work to add up to the impact we want to see.”
Special thanks to our partners on this visit. Gabon’s President, Minister for Environment and partners from @nature_org, @birdlife.international, @rainforesttrust, @RightsResources, @thewcs, @UNEP, @WorldResources, @unep’s World Conservation Monitoring Centre, @globalalliancet, and the Campaign for Nature.

Jeff and I are so proud to share that we have a new Bezos Courage and Civility Award winner — a woman who gives with her heart and leads with love and compassion in every aspect of her work.
We can’t wait to see all the good that you’re going to do with this $100 million award, @DollyParton. ❤️

These extraordinary women, true ‘Badass beacons of hope,’ willingly put their lives on the line to keep you informed. Last night, Jeff and I had the honor of hosting the @theiwmf Courage in Journalism awards, celebrating their bravery in covering wars, and critical issues that demand our attention, showing us why we should care. 🙏

One year ago today, we took the first step in advancing our vision of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. Thank you to the 25 pioneers who’ve flown on New Shepard since our first human flight. This is only the beginning. #forthebenefitofearth

We’re growing roots in urban spaces! Today, the @bezosearthfund is announcing a $400M commitment to equitable urban greening in communities across the U.S.
Our Greening America’s Cities initiative is launching in five inaugural cities – Albuquerque, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Wilmington, Delaware – with 30+ partners receiving $50M in grants.
Through 2030, we’ll continue to partner with more local community groups, in more cities, to build nature trails, grow community gardens and urban farms, and plant much-needed trees in neighborhoods that have gone far too long without access to green spaces.
Learn more about the initiative by following the link in bio. #greeningamericascities
