These two jumping in head first, motivated and inspired to figure out how to combine forces to shape something that worked well on snow and captured that same glide that Chris’ surf shapes are so well known for. The pesky heel turn. When I raced my coach use to say, “you gain a second on your toe turn and lose a second on your heel turn.”
Focusing on driving my back arm through the turn has really helped in opening up my front shoulder.
A posi, posi stance has been a game changer too.
Stance; 12 to 15 degrees BF, 28 to 35 FF.

As a failure of traditional schooling my inspiration and education has come from reading books and surrounding myself with people/mentors who were further down the path.
Obi Kaufmann (@coyotethunder) had a huge influence with his books. I have gifted his book #californiafieldatlas more than another book.
His writing and art is on such another level that I am smart enough not to try to emulate.
“Don’t meet you heroes” is a common phrase. While I just spent a few days with my art and literature hero at the @coastfilmfestival and it was awesome.
His passion for art, literature and environment is like nothing I have seen. Or rather his ability to articulate it.
