His early HBO Playhouse specials were in constant rotation at my house. I watched them beaming like an idiot. Not only was he so funny, his commitment to Pee Wee floored me. This incredible bow-tied icon was a revelation. Those specials also introduced me to another comic genius, Phil Hartman, in Capt Carl. I never saw such imagination and heart work together so flawlessly in comedy before. And of course the laugh. The best of them all. Thank you, Paul. You will be missed. You’ve lived up to the legend I know you are (but what am I. Meckalecka.) ❤️

We are asking for fair wages, job protection, and middle-class sustainability. I was fortunate to have been on a long-running show but that isn’t the case for most of our union members. I understand how this strike may seem unwarranted to those not in the industry. But look around the country and see how the working-class in all sectors are fighting to exist. This is not unique to Hollywood. The economic inequity is real, and labor, once again, is being framed as the bad guy. Don’t be fooled. #unionstrong
