Kim Chung-jae Instagram – One of my favorite artists, Wassily Kandinsky once said: “an artist must train not only his eye but also his soul”. I think there are infinite possibilities when you make the invisibles visible, a scent of the diffuser is invisible but it fills up the space, brings its own appearance to the space, yet it disappears as time passes by. However, if we remember the time we spent with the scent and our inner self, the scent could be inspirations of new creations.
The idea of this creation is “upcycling the invisible”. Inspired by the scent of a Maison Margiela diffuser, experimenting with abstract sculptures, utilizing both traditional and digital formative methods to bestow a new meaning to the bottle that once contained the scent, which incarnated into my soul and memories.
