Overnight alone in the Three Fingers Lookout in Washington. Full video on YouTube.
@henrygolding reached out to me on Instagram messages saying he’d be down to join on a hike so I invited him to summit Half Dome in Yosemite. We stayed in the valley at camp 4 and prepared supplies for the overnight hike. Starting at Glacier Point, we had a great view of what was to come. With matching Hyperlite packs, we made our way up the Mist trail to a lunch spot and quick dip in the river before continuing up to the cables. Henry is hilarious and always cracking jokes, especially when he finally saw what we’d be climbing up. We made sure to bring gloves to help with this section and because it was almost sunset, we had the entire place to ourselves. The view at the top overlooking the valley was amazing. We hiked back down to our campsite as night fell. Henry was excited to try out his Hancho Pancho. The next morning we enjoyed some coffee as the light rose before hiking all the way back down to the valley below. Hiking is a great way to get to know someone and Henry made it a fun trip, thanks for coming along dude.
Hiking 20 miles to Panorama Ridge in BC Canada. Snagged a permit to camp overnight at Helm Creek and woke up early to get to the view point before anyone else. Bug, glaciers, bears and black tusk. Didn’t have enough footage for a full YouTube video so I’ll talk about it with the next one.
Overnight alone in the Three Fingers Lookout. Great bike and hike up to overnight in the lookout. Parked and biked up 10 miles and hid my mountain bike near the trailhead. Didn’t see a single person and slept all alone in the hut. Little dusting of snow at the top. No spikes or equipment needed to ascend. Straightforward trail up to the ladders. No bugs, no wasps, no rain, no ice. Fall colors are just starting to change mid Oct. Left the lookout at 7am after sunrise. Was a cold and windy night so happy I had the shelter instead of a tent. Super windy on the initial descent but quickly made my way back down to the trailhead and hidden bike. Riding the remaining 10 miles down was a nice time and saved so much time. Great hike.

Hike 40 miles on the Timberline Trail Loop around Mt Hood in Oregon.
First time visiting New Zealand. Met up with local hiking kiwi @elinasborne and LA-cool travel girl @wrenees for some hikes and a small roadtrip. Rees Dart, Brewster Hut, Aspiring NP, Kepler, Routeburn and Milford Sound were some of the points along this 4 week trip. NZ loves its birds and Keas are my favorite. YouTube videos for each hike will be rolling out this December.
