February 1960, Paul is featured in 16 Magazine’s “Going Places” feature under the pseudonym Jerry Landis. Though Paul’s first release, The Paul Simon Songbook, came out in 1965, he had been writing and recording music as Jerry Landis since the mid-1950s.
