This lovely man, second from left with the Red Dwarf cast, is John Pomphrey, who’s sadly passed away. He was a Lighting Designer at BBC North – a good old staffer, who’d work on a hundred shows, including Children’s, where I worked with him in the 1980s. And he was so lovely! Always smiling, always calm, always interested in what you were doing. I look back and think, God, we were kids! But he was infinitely patient, he listened to us and helped us and made us feel that bit more professional. What a delightful man. Never forgotten. Night, John. ♥️ Manchester

TONIGHT on ITV. Lenny Henry’s glorious drama based on his mother’s tales of arriving in the UK in the 1950s. It’s funny, tough, tender and beautiful with the most wonderful cast. I’m listed as a producer but really, I sat back and said ‘marvellous’ while the great man wove his magic. An absolute joy. Here come the 3LB! ♥️ @itv @itvxofficial @lenny_henry_official
