To those saying “we’ve heard you say that before:” I’ve done some tricks for the last time but not a final video. I will continue to skate but I’m winding down my efforts to try new (risky) stuff. My mortality is surfacing and I have accepted my comfort zone. I am not quitting, but I’ll mostly be “returning to the classics” from here on out. Thanks for being remotely interested in this attempt at a graceful exit.

When I first saw news of a skatepark in Uganda, I was inspired to visit and possibly show skaters there some techniques to learning new tricks. But as the scene there continues to grow, I am now more inspired to visit but with a different directive: to learn some techniques from locals like Calvin, shown here learning halfcab kickflip to boardslide. Thanks to @ugandaskateboardsociety for the unwavering dedication to skateboarding and congrats to them on the recent Olympic representation in Rome. I recommend following their progress and giving support if you have the means. 🇺🇬🛹
