Another day we had a seemingly simple conversation with friends. The cool guy, a father of several happy healthy kids, was doubting his achievements. It’s not someone in the photographs above. Another conversation with a friend from Moscow, a cool girl 🌷 who works her ass off but doesn’t enjoy a big chunk of what she does.
Even though masculine nature is cut for goal orientation, achievement and climbing up there, research tells us that pleasure and self-fulfillment in life come from slightly other things. One of which is a relationship with people around and a feeling of belonging to a community. 🥴 My face in the past would react like that to such a statement. Well, it was due to me jumping from place to place not being able to settle down, and my father who raised me partially like a warrior. @hubermanlab has a video about happiness which says a lot on this. 🔥
One can be Jeff Bezoz but why should I give a f@? Nobody really cares. It’s a fake perception and a simple maze to get lost in constant rally which makes you forget the process and forget the life itself. I think he became Bezoz because the process was way more interesting than the factual result. Successful milestones are definitely necessary to support a desire to continue but they aren’t what makes us satisfied with living in the now 🤧 😆😆😆 Hobby slash work might do better.
