Aché Abrahams Instagram – It’s official!! 🥳 I’m now a Youth Mental health first aider thanks to @kind_tt sponsoring the National council for well-being’s Mental Health first aid training & ‘me time’ workshop facilitated by the incredibly inspiring Dr Astril Webb @healthykinder This certificate means so much more than just a qualification to me. For those who don’t know my story, I struggled with severe depression and anxiety as a teenager for 6 years. I’ve seen and experienced the struggle, the pain, the ugliness, the stigma first hand. Today at 23 years old, I am happy, healthy and now qualified to help others overcome!! Today was an emotional day for me (in the best way possible🥹). Ready to use all this new info to continue my beauty with a purpose project @invisiblescarsproject_mwtt We all go through struggles in life but it’s what we do about it that matters. I’m so proud to say that I trained alongside so many devoted teachers and educators who also want to support the young ones. Teachers are the true heroes our society needs and I can truly say that T&T is taking the steps in the right direction to become the change that we need in the world today. We are making mental health a priority and it is my honour to be part of that movement.
