Victims of sexual violence need and deserve timely and compassionate care. This week, Health Minister Shannon Fentiman issued a new Directive to our public hospitals. It will ensure those presenting at Emergency Departments requiring forensic examinations for sexual assault are seen within 10 minutes. We will always stand with survivors.
We have just introduced new legislation to strengthen dangerous dog laws in Queensland. This includes banning dangerous dog breeds. Irresponsible dog owners will also face fines up to $108,000 and up to three years’ jail if a dog causes the death or seriously injures a person.
