Bonnie has a medical situation that requires surgery to address. The doctors say that in order for her to heal properly, they recommend she not perform for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, this overlaps our five tour dates in May, and we are very sorry to have to cancel our performance at @brandicarlilesmothershipwkd on May 14th and postpone our shows in Athens, Louisville, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh. Please see below for more information about the rescheduled appearances.
We deeply apologize for this delay and inconvenience. It’s always upsetting to have to disappoint her fans, band, crew and our promoters, but sometimes unforeseen things just happen. Thankfully, Bonnie’s in great hands. She was so looking forward to these shows, but we’re excited to be able to resume our 2023 tour, now kicking off in Dublin, Ireland, June 1st.
Thank you for your well wishes and understanding, and we very much appreciate your respecting her request for privacy at this healing time.
RESCHEDULED DATES:
* Athens, GA – rescheduled date TBD 2024
* Louisville, KY – rescheduled for June 30, 2023
* Indianapolis, IN – rescheduled for July 1, 2023
* Pittsburgh, PA – rescheduled date TBD 2024
Please hold onto your tickets; they will be valid for the rescheduled show date and additional information will be coming from your point of purchase.
This week in the year 2012, Bonnie’s album Slipstream was released. It was the debut album for her artist-owned, independent label, @redwingrecords, and sold over a quarter-million copies, making it one of that year’s top selling independent albums, and earned Bonnie her 10th Grammy Award (Best Americana Album) at the 55th Annual @recordingacademy GRAMMY Awards. Watch the official music video for the album’s first single, an updated, reggae-fied version of @officialgerryrafferty’s “Right Down the Line.” — BRHQ
One year ago today, Bonnie released ”Livin’ For the Ones,” her third single off the ‘Just Like That…’ album.
Inspired by the tremendous loss and grief of the last few years, ”Livin’ For the Ones” is a call to help us move through tough times with renewed perspective and gratitude: to “keep livin’ for the ones who didn’t make it.” With Bonnie’s lyrics and music by her longtime friend and guitarist, @georgemarinelli, this rockin’ anthem to perseverance continues to resonate with so many.
This performance is from @cbsmornings #SaturdaySessions. Check it out in full at the link in bio. — BRHQ
To my fans:
Thank you all so much for the waves of wonderful birthday messages you’ve sent my way. You’ve made me very happy and deeply grateful.

Just Like That… is the third album Bonnie has released on her artist-owned and operated independent label, @redwingrecords. This chapter of her career follows nine albums with Warner Bros. Records (1971-1986) and eight albums with Capitol Records (1989-2006.) In this clip Bonnie talks about the decision to go independent after being inspired and educated by friends @john_prine, @jacksonbrowne and @beth_nielsen_chapman. Watch the full interview at the link in bio.
April 7th marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Bonnie’s album Fundamental. Released in 1998 on @capitolrecords, this was the first album Bonnie co-produced with the team of Mitchell Froom and Tchad Blake (after much success with producer @donwas and engineer @echerney on the previous four albums.) Listen to the album here: https://spotify.link/VeWyPRoaJyb
The album features two originals written by Bonnie as well as three co-writes with several simpatico collaborators including “One Belief Away” inspired by @drmtukudzi , a hugely influential and revered songwriter and musician from Zimbabwe. Oliver passed away in 2019 at the age of 66, leaving a tremendous musical, cultural as well has humanitarian legacy with his Pakare Paye Arts Center which encourages students from around Zimbabwe to pursue the arts as a career path. In Oliver’s honor and for the 25th anniversary of the release of Fundamental, please enjoy the music video for “One Belief Away,” written by Bonnie Raitt, Paul Brady and Dillon O’Brien (with inspiration from the music of Oliver Mtukudzi.) https://youtu.be/Wfz4tlzMsHk

Hoping everyone spent time outside on Earth Day this past weekend and took a moment to reflect on ways each of us can help protect the planet we all live on! While paper recycling tends to get the most focus, glass recycling can be used not only to reform new glass, but also to be crushed into sand to be used for a variety of purposes.
Meet @glasshalffull.nola – a group committed to recycling glass throughout Louisiana to restore and protect their wetlands. From 1932-2016, 25% of Louisiana’s Wetlands had been washed away by coastal erosion. These marshlands are not only environmentally and ecologically important, but are also the first line of defense when it comes to protecting the coast from storms. Glass Half Full NOLA is backyard operation-turned recycling powerhouse and has processed more than three million pounds of glass recovered from residents and businesses in the Greater New Orleans area (where municipal glass recycling service is not offered.) Glass Half Full NOLA pours the sand upcycled from glass into reused burlap sacks that are then lined up along the coast to anchor vegetation and coastline throughout the Wetlands, thus preventing erosion!
What many don’t know is that sand is our second most-utilized raw material following water, and that we are currently in a global sand shortage. This recycled glass functions not only to protect the coastline, but to replenish this shortage and keep glass out of landfills. For more information, head to their @cbsnews feature at the link in bio or support them directly @glasshalffull.nola — BRHQ

Officially marking a year since the release of ‘Something’s Got a Hold of My Heart,’ the second single from ‘Just Like That…’. Always a huge fan of songwriter Al Anderson’s, Bonnie had held onto the song “Something’s Got a Hold of My Heart” for thirty years, waiting for just the right album to cut it on. The laid-back Memphis feel — hypnotic, simple and classic, sets the hook in deep and doesn’t let go.

Bonnie was thrilled to be a part of a remarkable musical safari to Mali, West Africa, in January of 2000. Led by her friends at @afropopworldwide, she and a group of avid fans got to experience some of their favorite artists playing live in both towns and local clubs from Bamako to Timbuktu. These included the legendary @oumou.sang, Djelimady Tounkara, Lobi Traore, @alifarkatoureofficial and Habib Koite. Habib came along for some of the trip and the next year, on tour in the States, brought his band Bamada into the studio in LA to collaborate with Bonnie on their song together, “Back Around,” for her Silver Lining album, released In 2001. She’s been playing the song for the first time live on this latest Just Like That… tour.
