Carmen Soo Instagram – If I had a word to describe Carmen, I would have to combine all the words that define amazing into one.
When I first found out that I would be her housemate, I was actually nervous. We were on the same show together back in 2014, but we never met. I was already a fan of hers after watching it, and then I saw her in Crazy Rich Asians. And alas, I am in the same show as her, again. AND I GET TO BE HER HOUSEMATE 😱🥳
In that house, Carmen and I shared so many stories with each other. It felt like I met a long lost forever friend. The way I connected with her is beyond me. It’s not everyday you get to click with someone upon meeting them in the flesh for the first time. She took care of me like I was her family and up til today, we keep in touch.
She plays the graceful yet fierce Lily in #OperandiGerhana and I kid you not, her character is something to be watched out for. I watched her work through her character, how she was always finding ways to be true to Lily. Watching her work is incredibly inspiring and pushes me to be better.
Carmen, woman to woman, I have so much love for you and am so grateful to have gotten to know you on a deeper level. Thank you for being one of my safe spaces and one of my homes away from home. I miss our conversations and our little giggles. And of course. The infamous, kitchen towel (“:
