Yesterday, we were honored to meet with her Excellency Mrs. Ruto, the First Lady of Kenya, to discuss our shared commitment to women’s empowerment and the betterment of Kenya.
Our founder, Connie Nielsen, and board members Mikkel Vestergaard, Susan Sarandon, and Marcelo de Andrade attended this pivotal meeting.
Mrs. Ruto’s dedication to uplifting women and her vision for a more equal Kenya deeply inspired us. We appreciate her recognition of the potential of our model to transform informal settlements and create new economic opportunities.
Together, we explored strategies to create access to water, sanitation, enhance education and economic opportunities, and break the cycle of poverty. We are extremely excited about the opportunity of working together!
