No Grand celebrations, No pattu podavais, No 2000 wala Saram. No Diwali parties but a day full of Gratitude, love and blessings. 🫶🏼💫
From waking up to the sounds of birds to oil baths, pooja, rituals, Amma appa aasirvaatham, oru cute outfit check, our fav veetu breakfast Idly Karikolambu, and car rides with our fav Harris playlist 🎼 the day started with a happy vibe. 😍
When everyone kept asking about our thala Diwali plans, I legit had no idea except one.
@raja_vetri_prabhu_ RVP has been my light through the darkness and on this first Diwali of ours, we wanted to be that light for someone else. 🫶🏼

Raja has never been used to all these so far, whereas on the other side, I have been part of celebrations like this on festivals. So I made sure, our thala Diwali should be celebrated this way giving Raja a new experience as well.
And after a whole beautiful day we spent, when he posted a story yesterday saying “Thanks for showing me the other side of life and making it so worth it”
this is what he meant, and we know we did the right thing on the right day!
I’ve always been so good with kids but I was a little doubtful whether raja would love this idea or be comfortable around them. 🫂
But seeing him have a great time with these God’s special kids and have a easy and effortless bond with them made me so happy and special that I’ve got a partner who prioritises THIS > over all kinds of celebrations. He once again showed me that I made the right choice by choosing someone who’s going to blindly trust me and our principles forever. >>>
After a hearrtful time with the kids and elders we ended our day with a peaceful kovil darshanam, thanking God for everything he’s bestowed upon us along with a kutty car drive and a kutty night walk. 👫
We still can’t believe how beautifully the day unfolded for us, for our first Diwali together. Thanks to the UNIVERSE. 🧿 Our thala Diwali taught us so many things, and this day will always be a special memory in #RnD ‘s journey!! 🫶🏼

Wearing a super cute Paavadai Daavani set, running and twirling around the whole day from one corner of the house to another, and feeling the heroine vibes is something every girl can relate to! What daa girls crct thaan ah? I always believe that there is something so beautiful about our traditional outfits and it brings out the most feminine side of a girl.

Black Saree – A Timeless Classic🖤 ft @bespoke.dhishya ✨
The moment I came to know that we were nominated for the She Awards, I knew I should look great on the day, no matter if we won the black lady or not. The first person I called was Pavi @artra_styling , (she was the one who did our engagement styling) and when I told her about the award nominations she was more excited than us and was in full swing to make me look my best on our big day.
Pavi suggested a black saree look to keep the simple and ethnic girl-next-door vibe ON and to match the aesthetic of the award- the black lady. We were searching for a lot of options and the one look that grabbed our attention in an instant and made us head over heels in love was this black sequin saree from @bespoke.dhishya 🖤 It looked perfect for an award show and I’m sure I’d restyle it for my cousin’s or friend’s reception too. ( Receptions and Black! Hehe. 🙈 iykyk) For the blouse we decided to go classic with full sleeves and a boat neck and team @d.sign.d were sweet enough to do it in the last minute for us with full embroidery and perfectly delivered it in no time. 101 reasons why I go back to them, again and again ✅
To keep the attention on the saree, Pavi suggested only a white stoned flower motif designed ring and earring from @aaranyarentaljewellery and it was just perfect! 💎
We wanted to keep the makeup & hairdo minimum and @athmika_makeupstories gave a subtle look just like how I wanted and @priyaprabu_artistry did a super cute ponytail that elevated the whole look beautifully. When I stepped out of my room all dolled up, Amma was so stunned looking at me and loved the whole look. Enna thaan veliya 1000 peru sonnalum, Amma solra “Azhagaa irukaa dii” is always special laa?🥹
We quickaahh went to the terrace and clicked some beautiful pictures before we went to the event. And that night we were back home with the Black Lady on our hands. Always grateful for that night and the love I received 🖤
