I can’t stress enough how your personal safety should always be a priority even over the possibility of offending someone else. I am NOT saying it is ok to be rude, but I am saying if you don’t feel comfortable leave, say something, set a boundary, don’t be passive when it comes to your personal safety be active and alert. @esfsmartdefense we teach trauma informed self defense, get educated.
It’s finally finished!!!!! Wahoo!!!! So proud of myself for following through with training and finishing the St. George marathon today. Currently I’m laying on the sofa with compression boots on with no plans on moving anywhere the rest of the day. 😉

Here’s my happy moment for the weekend❤️
Paying attention while being educated makes all the difference!
Last night I spoke at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s annual Hope Gala. They honor and recognize individuals who show extraordinary courage, passion, and commitment to finding children who have been abducted. They are without a doubt a huge inspiration to me and their impact is felt world wide. I first heard of “NCMEC” even before I was kidnapped, there was a news story on the missing children in America and requesting everyone to leave their Porch light on as if to say to all those missing children “welcome home.” I remember watching that news story and telling my parents we should keep our porch lights on. Never did I imagine I myself would in days later be one of those kids the porch lights were left on for. I applaud and stand in awe to their commitment to find every last missing child and never giving up hope. God Bless You. 🤍

Please share this information on your stories. We want to keep as many lines of communication open to those still in unsafe situations.
When I came up with the idea to create a consent course, my goal was that it would help minimize the amount of sexual assault that happens.
I’ve come across too many scenarios where:
-People didn’t realize they could say no, (even to their spouse).
-People who had disclosed that they’d been assaulted yet were met with blame because they were wearing a particular outfit, at an event, or even under the influence, etc. So they just lived with the hurt and shame.
-They didn’t realize they were assaulted because they mistook coercion for consent.
But consent has so much more to do with staying safe from assault and abuse. Consent is a crucial principle that should be applied in various aspects of our lives to ensure autonomy, respect, and healthy relationships.
This week over on Instagram, I did a free Consent Education Week. Yes, we learned how we could better our consent practice to safe from sexual assault, but I learned so much more from my guests.
-The importance of sharing our stories. We can find a lot of healing in knowing that we aren’t alone.
-How media shapes how we view consent, even just everyday relationships.
-How being an active bystander makes a difference!
– How can we create an open line of communication with our kids and teens so they will come to us when the bad stuff happens
-How self-defense, just like consent, is a perishable skill, if we want to be good at them, we got to make it a lifelong practice.
I’m so grateful to my guests for sharing their expertise and insight. If you want, you can catch the replay over on Instagram, it’s saved under my Consent Education Week highlight.
If you want to improve your consent practice, you can take my Wholehearted Consent Course. Use the code CONSENT for 30% off.

Best chats, miles fly by, and incredible scenery!!!!!
100% the best way to see the fall leaves and enjoy perfect weather!!!
I love meeting strong women! Today in Connecticut I was able to spend some time and speak with New England Women in Construction event. I know it might seem random for me to be there because I barely know anything about construction but I do know we are all human, and we all deal with struggle, hardship, and trauma. And no matter where we find ourselves in life it’s important to take moments to be happy, find joy, and know you are not alone! I hope everyone takes time this weekend to do something that brings you happiness.

To all workers in the anti sexual exploitation and healing fields, THANK YOU from the bottom of my soul for your dedication, sacrifice, and continued heart showing up day after day! It is not an easy field to work in day in and day out! You all inspire me to keep going! And a special shout-out to my colleagues @malouffoundation and @elizabethsmartfoundation you are amazing! Last week we had our 1st of 2 fundraiser golf tournaments and next week we have our second golf tournament on September 12, at the golf course at Promontory in Park City (we still have some slots available if you’re interested in playing to help survivors of sexual abuse heal and find hope again. DM @malouffoundation for more info) I will be on the course as will my friends to talk more about our initiatives and current projects, see you there! 🤍

Todays chat with @utahjitsmama was amazing!!!! For further education on wholehearted consent click on the link in my bio and type CONSENT for 30% off. This code is good through June. If you have been sexually abused or violated @rainn is an amazing tool their 24 hour hotline is 1-800-656-4673. You are not alone and sexual violence is never your fault and even if you give consent at the beginning you can withdraw that consent at any time. 🤍

LIVE!🤍 The Malouf Foundation isn’t just an organization; it’s a heartfelt mission to help meet a primary need for children and families experiencing hardship. Sam and Kacie Malouf founded the organization to confront child sexual exploitation. As parents of five children, it was heartbreaking to learn that millions of children are victims of this horrible crime. The Malouf Foundation has joined forces with the Elizabeth Smart Foundation to expand their efforts to support survivors. Founder Kacie Malouf said, “When you meet a survivor and hear stories that pull at the heartstrings, it becomes impossible not to help.”
Our team at Malouf is so excited to partner with Walli and release the “Everyone Has a Story” case. This case is a symbol of empowerment and support for every survivor out there. The dot design on the case is unique and no two dots are alike–just like we are all unique and have our own stories and experiences that shape us.
Together with Walli and the help of each of you, we’re making a real impact and continuing our work. All proceeds from the sale of the “Everyone Has a Story” case will be used to support the programs we offer at the Malouf Foundation and provide a variety of resources for survivors. Because, to us, every survivor is unique and valued. We want to thank you for your support in our mission! It truly changes lives!
