Hania Rani Instagram – My tour starts just in a couple of days and I thought that it is a nice moment to reveal a bit more about the instruments that became such a significant aspect of my shows – Hoffmann / @bechstein.official pianos – upright and grand. Possibly only a pianist can really appreciate how utterly life changing it is to be able to play everyday on the same keyboard, enjoying this rare luxury of recognizing familiar distances and heights, sounds and silences. It’s difficult for me to come back to my pre-piano memories, I have been working with this wonderful creature for more than 25 years now and very possibly spent in front of the “black and whites” most of my life. 

I find something profoundly personal in Hoffmann pianos, allowing me to feel both comfortable but also excited on stage and during my recordings. Thoroughly built, with carefully picked elements and warm, rich sound – they became my close companions, witnessing my vulnerable and vehement musical moments.
