Isabel Lucas Instagram – My sister and I watched an unreal amount of horse movies growing up. All the classics; National Velvet, The Silver Brumby, The horse Whisperer, The Black Stallion, Pharlap, Spirit, The Man From Snowy River, the list goes on. I’ve been following the powerful work of @kindfarmhorserescue. They’re a small, local (to me) organisation that re-homes horses in risk of slaughter, like older mistreated horses and ex-racehorses. It’s moving to witness the evolution and healing, the light returning in their eyes and even their trust, playfulness restored when they find their a safe and healthy home. It reminds me of another childhood film; Black Beauty.
