Back in the 🇺🇸 and lower body lift ☑️
I enjoyed myself on my trip to the UK and Saudi when it came to food. I didn’t track like normal, enjoyed some sweets and treats too. But it didn’t feel out of control or like I have to “get back on track.”
I didn’t fall off anything. Everything was intentional, with purpose.

Sometimes those days when you feel like garbage 💩 are the days that you have the BEST workouts. (Sometimes no but wow)
Didn’t feel like getting in a workout at all tonight. Talked myself into just “doing a little something” to get my heart rate up for active recovery.
That turned into:
🌟 30 mins on the stairmaster
🌟 5K on the treadmill
🌟 Some mobility that felt so dang good.
If I hadn’t walked through the door I would have never known just how much I was capable of. Trust me, this body has SHOWN UP this week.
Proud. 🩵💪🏻

It’s another episode of: showing up when I didn’t want to!
Flew in today to Tulsa, got in a nap, and went to the store and grabbed some groceries for tonight and tomorrow.
I almost just changed into some pjs, ate my dessert, and worked on some client workouts.
The thoughts that went through my mind:
😈 Your body needs a rest, you have a long day tomorrow and brutal workouts planned next week.
😈 You’re sore from Tuesday’s workout you don’t want to over train.
😈 Just get up early tomorrow and work extra hard.
😈 You’re too tired.
But I thought of a few things.
Firstly, I want to be a good example for my clients but also anyone who follows me. If I talk the talk about this stuff I gotta walk the walk.
Secondly, I promised myself I would just do the minimum. I would walk for 30 minutes, get some easy movement in and listen to some coaching education material. I was going to get BETTER by doing just a little and just do SOMETHING.
Thirdly, I wanted to make myself proud and thought about what I would feel like AFTER the workout, especially being able to share it with YOU.
About 10 minutes into the walk, I felt pretty good and ran the last 20 minutes. So we can call this another win because I showed up for me.

It was a day.
Dropping Bowen off and I got rear ended. He’s fine, I’m fine, car is decent but it’ll need some work done. The girl was texting and her front of her car was smashed in.
Let’s not take for granted how quickly our life scenarios can change.
Grateful my pupper is okay, I’m okay and she was too.
Got in a workout, going to date night and choosing happy. 🩵
Just another example y’all, you will not regret pushing and doing the hard thing.
When I’m feeling pretty good I like to start and finish my lifts with a mile run.
Today I had resistance in my brain doing that last mile at the end. I was negotiating with myself and saying how I could sub different cardio later.
But I got on the treadmill with the mindset I was going to do my best, because the woman I want to be would do this without thought.
Then I ran a mile PR and jammed to “Shut up and Dance,” by Walk The Moon.
The PR was cool, but the fact I did it when I didn’t want to, that’s even better.
SHOW UP for YOU!

I always had the goal of less than an hour for a 10K but signing up for this one I didn’t have that expectation as I hadn’t been doing any outside runs.
Wouldn’t you know it, finished it up at 59:14! So surprised and happy to see how I’m the best me I’ve ever been all around. I love my strength but so so proud of my conditioning.
Might have the running bug again!
