Posted this pic without any caption because it was all I could manage in the of face all the devastation and anguish filling my feed. Because it felt strange to keep posting when the world feels like it’s teetering on the brink of losing all sense of humanity and compassion.
This dress belonged to my grandmother, she made it herself as she did all her clothes, and was her party dress – brought on most vacations to warm climates. I have a beautiful memory of her and my grandad dancing in a hotel bar in Mauritius. I wear it in memory of her. I miss her terribly. My heart goes out to every grandmother missing a child, every child missing a grandmother and every family so far from peace.
