Kate Silverton Instagram – Journalism brought my husband and I together. I was heading out to cover the conflict in Iraq – and he was an instructor on a hostile environments course. Now running his own successful training company Pangolin Group, Mike is sponsoring ( and running !) the Royal Park Half Marathon today in support of the Rory Peck Trust @rorypecktrust It exists to protect freelance journalists globally, providing safety training, professional and psychological support and assistance with equipment, therapy and crisis funds. Never is an organisation more needed for freelance journalists and I am super proud of my husband in both his role – that both saves lives, and offers crucial support. Very happy to know his wingman Baz will be running alongside ( or, given he’s a true marathon veteran running ahead !) @lisa_jarvis_supermum I’ll be cheering them both on and hope to see you soon! Xx
