Kate Silverton Instagram – What a weekend – loved catching up with this incredible human @gabormatemd and his brilliant beautiful wife Rae, at the heartwarming and transformative @tigersltd #aceawareness event in #glasgow. Beyond proud that Gabor referenced and recommended my book ‘there’s no such thing as naughty’ to the audience – and asked me to stand in acknowledgement. So many reflections that I will hope to share in some IG lives this week but as I left Glasgow today and observed the incredible buildings and architecture, my thoughts turned to what we had been discussing about the ‘architecture’ of the brain – and how what we experience when we are very young, shapes the adult we become. We are ALL in the brain development business when it comes to our children. What we do counts. Every interaction we have with our children today serves to create strong foundations for their future mental health. It’s a massive responsibility – but never forget you are more powerful than you know. And, it’s much simpler than we might think. Ensure that your children feel loved, safe, and understood – and you ensure the strongest foundations for life x
