Mayim Bialik Instagram – ‘Bring Them Home’ an original song by Israeli singer: @GalDePaz
“It should be understandable, undeniable
you can’t argue at all.
Unbelievable, what is happening in the world.
Bring them home now.
We don’t care.
Please understand our heart is there
and we need them to come back home.
It is unperceivable, unbelievable
what is happening here
the world won’t see it but we can feel it
We hear it and see it everywhere.
We don’t care if it seems wrong how we choose to right this wrong
but if you’d be in our place,
would you do it any different? Brother?
Bring them back home now.
We don’t care what it takes
take the evil off this earth before it breaks
bring them back
loud and clear
we don’t care if it hurts your ears
we have no fear
bring them home.
It’s just inconceivable
Such a heavy toll
How can we even breath ?
Not to have control
loved ones being pulled into darkness
as they bleed
Bring them back
The time is now
Lift this dark and heavy cloud
We need them to come back home
Bring them back home now.
We don’t care what it takes
take the evil off this earth before it breaks
bring them back
loud and clear
we don’t care if it hurts your ears
we have no fear
bring them home.
Bring them back home now
Out of that horrid place
Then take the evil off this earth
before it breaks
Bring them back
Loud and clear
Don’t ask how the end is near
You can chant and rip and smear
with your empty evil cheer
we don’t care if it hurts your deafened ears
We have no fear
Bring them home
They need to come back home. Now
Bring them home.”

Mayim Bialik Instagram – You may have heard the Instagram Live I did with Shep Rosenman last week where we talked about how some artists are turning to creative expression to come to terms with what’s going on in the world. My metal worker 👩🎨 artist friend of 40 years, the very talented Rebecca Fox, has done the same with this gorgeous Jewish star that she makes herself. A portion of the proceeds go to support the kibbutz communities that were attacked by Hamas on October 7. I’m wearing mine proudly – thank you Rebecca for creating such a beautiful shield of David! Mayim Bialik Instagram – It was a thrill and an honor to speak at my alma mater UCLA today to bring attention to the 240 hostages being held by Hamas since October 7. The event was co-sponsored by every Jewish organization on campus and featured 3 very moving displays featuring baby strollers with the names of every child being held hostage, as well as a shoes and balloons display and a table set for those being held in tunnels underneath Gaza city. Thank you Bruins for Israel for organizing such a moving event. #NoHostageLeftBehind 💙 🤍 💙 @ucla @bruinsforisrael

Mayim Bialik Instagram – Here is the final part of my conversation with Rachel Goldberg, whose son Hersh is currently being held captive by Hamas along with approximately 240 others. Here we discuss the importance of keeping focus on bringing the hostages home, condemning Hamas’ atrocities, and Rachel’s thoughts about hostage posters being torn down.
If you missed the first two parts that I posted yesterday, I highly recommend checking those out first. An enormous thank you to Rachel for this moving conversation and for sharing her bravery. And thank you for watching. #bring_hersh_home @bring.hersh.home
Mayim Bialik Instagram – There are so many fundraisers going on, I know! Here’s me wearing my friend’s “tivkah” band (“band of hope”). http://TikvahBands.com was started by 3 Jewish mothers who could not stand by and do nothing as our brothers and sisters in Israel face the atrocities by those who wish us harm. Tikvah Bands emerged from the Israeli national anthem, the Hatikvah which means hope. Something we can use during this horrific time both in Israel and here in America. When you purchase a Tikvah band, 100% of the profits will be equally distributed to support three organizations that are directly providing vital aid to victims of terror, medical support, trauma recovery, crisis management, and supporting the well-being of Israeli Defense Force soldiers: They are the Jewish Federation, FIDF, and Magen David Adom. If you want to wear your pride and support Israel, this is a great way to do it. 🇮🇱

Mayim Bialik Instagram – Thank you to all of our veterans who have served bravely and proudly. And thank you to the spouses and families of our soldiers who hold so much and are so deserving of our gratitude. Have a safe weekend, everyone ! 🇺🇸
Mayim Bialik Instagram – Couldn’t resist sharing some festive cooking posts. These first 2 photos are broccoli arancini from @Moby’s Little Pine cookbook, which I make with gluten-free Panko.
Next up are my veganized “Darrell’s ‘Forget-the-Cookies-Just-Give-Me-That-Batter’ Chocolate Chip Cookies” that I was in the process of making during yesterday’s Live with @jonathancohenofficial (head over to @bialikbreakdown if you missed it!). Shout out to my 1987 edition of KidsCooking: A Very Slightly Messy Manual from Klutz press (a pretty cool company) for the recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
– 1/2 cup vegan butter
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 1/2 cup white sugar (yes, it’s a lot of sugar, but that’s why I only make them for the holidays 😬)
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 vegan egg replacement (I use Bob’s Mill egg replacer)
– 1 1/8 cups flour (If I’m feeling frisky, I replace 3/4 cup of the flour with cocoa. That’s what I did with this recipe. 🤫
– 1/4 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp baking soda
– 1 bag (6 oz) vegan chocolate chips
– 1/2 cup walnuts – optional (sometimes I make them with pecans but this time I did it with walnuts)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a small pan, melt the butter. While it’s hot, add both sugars. Stir, then let cool a bit.
2. While the butter mixture is cooling, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
3. In a separate small bowl, stir the egg replacer in with the vanilla and butter mixture.
4. Add the butter, egg replacer, and vanilla to the flour mixture in the mixing bowl. Stir again, then add chocolate chips and nuts if you want them.
5. Stir everything until it’s all mixed up well and put the bowl in the refrigerator to cool for about an hour.
6. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
7. Roll the dough into walnut-sized balls, put them onto an ungreased baking sheet, and bake for 10 min. Allow to cool, and enjoy!

Mayim Bialik Instagram – Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful holiday tomorrow and a safe weekend. Acknowledging the complicated history of this holiday, but there is much to be thankful for – even when things feel a bit upside down. I hope you are able to take time to feel some gratitude and peace this holiday.
