In Heaven as it is on earth….. yesterday was a bit of the divine down on the ground. @justice4blackgirls gathered 500 Black girls from all around for a cross generational gathering, healing & creative conjuring of sacred sisterhood… I meditated, ate fried chicken & greens with Nikki Giovanni we talked of Grandmothers, stars space, fishing and writing and writing (she gave some notes 🥺) her conversation with the girls was transformative hilarious – so moved so many girls students have organically used #TheHairTales as an affirmative teaching tool (whaddup @pittsburguni ?!) it was a vision I’ve always held for this living project (docuseries steaming on @hulu ) #JBG2023 #NikkiGiovanni #BlackWomenCreators #MADHappyPlace
