Du äger ditt skimmer,” I sang with my baby in my arms. I performed it at the gay gala, sang it for the Crown Princess on her birthday, and continued on tour in the midst of the pandemic, in front of an audience in need of music, despite the risk of infection.
Everything breathed here and now, and the lyrics “Du äger ditt skimmer” were present in everything I saw wherever I turned. Even in nature. It was beautiful to see the world that way, and at the same time, so sad because we destroy so much for each other and our planet.
I wanted to write a song about finding peace and tranquility. About being in a place where nothing threatens us, in a future where we can live together and bloom in our own way. Completely at peace.
I want to thank you, @josefine.lindstrand for creating this song with me, for playing with me for so many years, being a phenomenal pianist and person. You are a gem.
