QUARRY COMPETITION WINNER – @tiredpaperbag. This video stuck out to me so much because it was just so emotionally riveting. I feel like Makayla found all the darkest most emotional moments in the game and managed to put them all into the video in a way that really elevated the song and gave it a whole new meaning. Chris Heyerdahl and I have had a very fraught relationship that has spanned at least a century. It all started when he pseudo-forced me into a marriage that I secretly kind of wanted to be in anyway, but then was a total dick about it in a whole host of ways (including dumping water my very pregnant body lugged into the fields for my hubby all over the ground just to prove a point 🙄). But it all worked out because approximately 120 years later when I was on the other side of the American Civil War (literally) and attending a school for assassins I got to carve shit into his forehead and that was pretty embarrassing. It all comes out in the wash, ya know?

Our other winner was @vampyriv’s amazing video. This one stuck out to me because it narrated the meaning of the song soooo well. It really conveyed the feelings that The Darkness explores, and tells it through the eyes of so many characters in The Quarry. Amazing work!!!
