I haven’t explained religion just yet but we talk a lot about kindness and love and understanding and respect and really isn’t that the basis of humanity? It’s hard to imagine answering the bigger questions these days with all the heartbreak in the world. She’s too young to understand why I’m sad or upset or enraged with the world when her world is still just us. I’m trying to find balance, to self regulate, to be here with them for them but my heart is breaking for strangers half a world away. We went to temples & all I could pray for was peace.
