Aweee I love a birth story ✨ listening to our dear friend @nikkireed tell her second birth story on @themotherdazepodcast this episode brought back so many of my own feelings from my second birth with Forest (pictured here by @gemma_peanut the day he was born 😭😭) I particularly love how Nikki explores the dance between fear and excitement, finding the right vibration of the room and her desire to be around a gentle, nurturing, motherly touch. We are also lucky enough to have her midwife, the incomparable @lamidwifeabby unfurling the story with Nikki. This is a two part episode of what will surely become one of your favourite episodes to date. OUT NOW! Swipe for birth photos from Nikkis home birth with her son, captured beautifully by @christinakingbirth

Prairie Moon is ✨2✨ our beautiful fairy girl is growing up before our eyes. Bodhi wrote it so perfectly on your card; you are the joy of our lives, bringing your ray of sunshine everywhere you go. I love your duality, that you can be both soft and strong, small but mighty, shy but confident, adventurous but cautious, softly spoken but somehow you have the biggest voice in the house! (Even giving Poet a run for her money) you are soooo loving, soooo affectionate, soooo silly and soooo FUN and you make we well up multiple times a day 🥹 sometimes I cannot even believe this life is mine and that you and your siblings are real. It’s so amazing to see all the many colours of YOU Prairie, keep shining so brightly our magic moon. Thank you for choosing our family, you are adored beyond belief! #thisistwo #prairiefairy #magicmoon #happybirthday

While trying to find a photo of the gorgeous @claireholt and I, I stumbled across this photo and couldn’t resist throwing it up, my Aussie OG LA crew (and a couple of our honourary Aussies @missbrookestone @murisaharba 😉) this was at my baby shower TEN years ago when I was preggy with my son Bodhi. I had this beautiful support group and being the first of the lot to have babies I had so many from the sisterhood to call on during those early days. I can really grasp now how very lucky I was to have them all holding my hand through new motherhood.
This week on @themotherdazepodcast @claireholt talks candidly about her postpartum wobbles, her challenging relationship with nursing, pregnancy loss and subsequent anxiety when pregnant with her rainbow baby, she also talks all about being pregnant again with her third baby, the work/life balance and how much she loves her favourite role of all, being a mum. Honestly I didn’t think I could be more impressed by her but after this interview my admiration for her has gone next level. Claire is SO candid, vulnerable and really values keeping things open and real, she talks all about her viral motherhood shares and why it’s so meaningful to her to show all the sides of her life. Not only is she a knock out actress, she’s one of the funniest people I know, shes a wonderful mama of soon to be three and she’s got all sorts of hidden talents like writing and playing piano! Claire is a breath of fresh air and you will fall even more in love with her after listening to this episode of @themotherdazepodcast listen now wherever you get your poddies (or link in my stories)

Baby me (18) first movie, shot in 2004 in my hometown Adelaide. I got this movie because I was at a local acting agency and agreed to do what was described as a “student film” after meeting the very cool teenage director (oh hey @unkie_mumu) I had spent the previous year or so doing extra work – “pool party gal” in Wolf Creek (still one of the greatest horror films of our generation) starring in short films like “hot, hot, heat” (no..not a porno) and “the clock struck 12”, some work was paid minimally, most was unpaid but the point is I LOVED it, I just loved learning and being on set, being an extra and closely studying performances of the lead actors. It gave me that kind of access to see real working, successful actors soaring and I got to be surrounded by and observing my dream in action (very useful for manifesting!)
By the time it was my turn to be in my first feature (2:37) I was so ready for it, yet still so very very green. Since that movie I have learnt so much, every job I go deeper and strive to uplevel. I love when the task of performing is both exciting and terrifying. That’s the sweet spot in my opinion, where you can stumble, fall and find something magic in the wobbles. All this to say if you’re in the longing/hustling/fighting for it stage right now, keep going. Keep focused on that dream, it’s attainable. You never know when something is going to hit when you least expect it, and that little local “student film” I did when I was 18? It premiered to a standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival. #dreamswork
Adelaide; I’ve partnered with a longtime friend/epic legend- the revered and award winning casting director Angela Heesom (Mortal Kombat, Wolf Creek) It feels like coming full circle getting to collaborate with her. My fallback plan out of high school if acting didn’t work out was to be a drama teacher and Ange and I have put our heads together to figure out the inner workings of a 2 day Actors Intensive workshop, specifically focused on auditioning. We have very limited spots due to location but the applicants so far have been extraordinary, for more info on how to sign up head to @heesomcasting ❤️❤️

This two week road trip was exactly what the soul needed ✨ time spent, adventures had, lifetime memories made, connections deepened. Our RV we nicknamed “beastie” was rented from the small family owned company Glampers California. (glampersca.com) we received 10% off by using the code “Glampers” which you can too when securing your booking. The RV was stocked with everything you could ever need (and more!) and they were so generous with all the time they spent showing us the ropes. If you want to rent ours it’s the “the memory maker” and sleeps 10!

I love this woman so much!! From the moment I saw this gorgeous gal strutting her stuff down the Victoria Secrets runway with such a cool spunky vibe I was like WAIT who is that dope chick?? @behatiprinsloo is the most amazing mama to three, one of my new soul sister gal pals and has had the most remarkable journey with her births. I love how HONEST and hilarious she is during our podcast episode with her. I was laughing so hard at all of stories and then was completely enthralled by her birthing metamorphosis. Join us on @themotherdazepodcast this week as we chat to our girl Behati all about her three wild and wonderful births. Listen wherever you get your poddys or click the link in my stories ❤️❤️🔥🔥✨✨
Tonight we saw @marypoppinsmusicalau at the wonderful @adelaidefescent, what an INCREDIBLE show!!! absolutely blown away, so spectacular and full of so many incredible ‘how did they do that!?’ moments. Poet was literally bouncing, singing and dancing so loudly in my lap!! The boys loved it too. So proud of all the brilliant performances and a special shout out to our pal Seb @serobrothers who performed the role of Michael Banks, a role he shared with his equally as awesome bro Luka! what a special and fun performance! Bodhi was so excited to see his pal from #TheClearing on stage. The show is touring around Australia so please DO NOT miss it! 😍😍 #marypoppinsmusicalau
Okay so for context; the other videos of my hero @howdoyousayguillermo are best enjoyed after you’ve listened to this weeks episode of @themotherdazepodcast only then will you appreciate his epic legendary status 😹🐈⬛😹🐈⬛ also it’s quite fitting that yesterday was #blackcatappreciationday.
This week on the pod we have crazy tales from down under as my week goes rogue, from harrowing cat rescues, disastrous mum fails to marathon birth working duties and finding moments of “one with the cosmos” among the chaos. Sarah’s daughter Esme has a birthday and reminisces on some rather mystical moments of her time from the great beyond! We also chat low vibes/high vibes and the magnetism at play with the law of attraction (and how subtle shifts can change everythinggg!!). Sarah teaches me her ways of self care at dawn and gives some practical tips on applying the whole “put your own mask on first before helping others” principle. Don’t miss the hour of magical mashup! Find us wherever you listen to podcasts!!

This past Saturday was the stuff of nightmares for my poor husband. I have errr a tendency to “overcram” on weekends (it gets dubbed a “Teresa Day”) and Sat might’ve actually taken the cake 😬 We were at an animal sanctuary in Pt Lincoln in the mid morning, plane back to Adelaide in late afternoon, checked in to the airport hotel, met my mum, bro in law & 10 extremely heavy suitcases for our 6am flight out to LA next day. Dropped kids off with the fam, zoomed to do last minute packing up at the home we had been crashing at (huge thanks to Elo & @peterjmcmillan), We drove our cars to our property for storing and THEN just casually rocked up at my 20 year @mercedescollegeadelaide reunion. IT WAS A DAY (topped off by reconfiguring cases until 12:30am to make sure they’d pass the weight test in the morning!) 4am alarm clock weeeeee ANYWAY my very sensible/caring pal Maree suggested I use these amazing chauffeurs from @adelaideluxuryandprestige to help do the heavy lifting that day (figuratively and literally) they picked us up in such a gloriously fancy car that I actually felt embarrassed to rock up to the reunion in it and begged to be dropped off out of eye sight to avoid any eye rollers “ohhh look what Palmer pulled up in.” 😂 the car was so insane it even had little twinkling stars on the ceiling!! Deffo the new cool kids on the block when it comes to luxury chauffeurs in Adelaide.
Despite the chaos I had SO. MUCH. FUN at my reunion!! I went to Mercedes for 13 years and along the way met some amazing friends for life. Loved catching up with all my pals who made school such a happy core memory for me, so many lols and reminiscing and it’s nuts how everyone looked exactly the same! That is still the mind boggling part I think!? Special shout-out to our very dear friend Daniel Raphael, ‘Raph’ to most of us, he passed at only 20 years old, Raph was my first & closest “guy friend” at school and my birthday pal. We all miss him. The reunions are bittersweet without his charismatic self, charming our pants off, making us all laugh. He was one of the brightest sparks in our year. Thanks to @helenworthington for toasting him & including him in our evening ♥️
