Last month, I had the pleasure of visiting the UN headquarters in Geneva. I was kindly escorted by my friends there for a tour and as I was looking at all the sections, I was intrigued by the symbolic art from different countries in Africa, Europe, Middle East and many other regions. I had a thought – what if we give a visual representation of one of the greatest peace icons of India, Mahatma Gandhi’s quote, “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”. It could be a constant reminder to all the folks visiting and the people who are there. What do you think?

With the help of @teachforindia , we have been able to identify some enthusiastic and absolutely deserving children from some of the corporation schools in Chennai to kick start these classes. The art and educational director of @kmmcchennai , @adamjgreig introduced the students and their parents to the sunshine orchestra and the various sections it has. @rahulvanamali , the faculty for percussions introduced these students to the various instruments they will be learning soon.
