I was deeply saddened to wake up this morning to the news of Norman Lear’s passing. My first encounter with Norman was through my friends, @antrichny and @dembycratic, when they invited me to be a part of an Emmys event back in 2015 honoring the legendary producer. Without hesitation, I agreed, assuming it would be a DJ set. Little did I know that I would have the incredible opportunity to speak on a panel discussion alongside Norman himself.
That conversation was truly unforgettable. Norman’s wisdom and passion shone through every word he spoke. It was an honor to be in his presence and to engage in such a meaningful dialogue about some of my favorite TV shows I watched while growing up.
During the pandemic, Norman managed to pop up in Club Quarantine during my virtual sets on Instagram. It was a testament to his vibrant spirit and genuine appreciation for all forms of art and expression.
Rest peacefully, Norman. Your legacy will continue to inspire and shape the culture for generations to come.

Last night, I had one of the greatest feelings ever. I walked into the @theflatironroom_murrayhill after the Hornets Vs Nets game and enjoyed a glass of cognac. Not just any cognac, @martingalecognac!
I went from being just a consumer to becoming an investor. #KeepGoing
Sat court side tonight and the Hornets vs Nets game tonight. I met lil man and his mom tonight. She showed me a video of him and his brother pretending to be me during a CQ set. His brother had a hat on in the video and he didn’t. I asked him if he could take a pic with my actual hat and he was excited.
This is what makes me happy. Spread love to the next generation. Thank you @hornets for the hospitality.
