What I would have done…
I wanted to do a sex robot for the runway armed with a pump action orgasmatronic jismjuice gun!💗
For the suit I wanted something that felt robotic but organic(a little like Giger)with a metallic outside and a fleshy pink welcoming inside.
The suit has multiple access/reveal points with unzippable arms/front and skirt sides.The main front zip with a padded mound.(What lies beneath shall remain a secret…come see me on a tour or show some time…maybe she’ll be a number now 😉)
Inspirations for the suit are clearly Barbarella and blade runner with a giger edge!

Monsters of Rock part 1
For this floorshow we had to create a monsters of Rock look that would read in an arena(big hair big silloutte)I’m not particularly a ‘Rock’ gal but felt I really had to rise to this challenge(especially after all the drama in the show)
I needed battle armour.I wanted big armour like shapes similar to Gwar but also wanted a vampire /villainy edge.
Hence the coffin shaped shoulders and upside down crucifix details and eyepatch.
Inspo’s were obviously drawn from punk(I love the creativity of The Blitz kids from 80’s and the ability to create something from nothing)
The outfit was made by the glorious @punkmukeee out of (roofing material?)found in our art studio’s and nuts and bolts!🖤

The back story for my Kaiju is a monster created from a Radioactive Toxic oil spill….that cross contaminates lots of creatures from the ocean to create…THE PHYLACTIC.
She’s part lobster,fish,Prawn,pufferfish,octopus and she is pissed(not drunk but angry)that you humans destroyed her home and she’s coming to destroy your city…..
I was very inspired by the 60’s/70’s Kaiju’s.The bright poppy colours of the posters and the bonkers otherworldly mashup designs!
In creating the kaiju I used things I already had.(part of the appeal of doing something like Dragula was to get my creative juices flowing and be really involved in the both design and the make.A lot of shows require drag artists to spend sooooo much money on the package but I’ve always thought part of the magic of drag is in creating something from nothing and turning a look)the kaiju was created from old unused costumes/ spandex outfits,maleficent horns,hair rollers,Cardboard(*gasp*)modelling foam,cushion foam,spray paints, acrylic,Halloween webbing,a gas mask…probably loads of other tat I’ve forgotten about.

So for 80’s Haunted House I wanted to be a scarecrow warning sign!I made a puppet crow and moving sign and the uv would bring to life some of the rats and creatures living inside the scarecrow
.It would also highlight the skeleton that the scarecrow was made out of.I was wearing mainly a black all in one number(not sure how that would have worked on the revolving lazy Susan though)
Anyway here he is.Defs wouldn’t follow this one up the yellow brick Road…..
