I have been shooting a movie in China for the last few weeks. It’s been nice to be back after 4 years away. I spent most of my career here so seeing familiar faces and working in Chinese has been nice. Got a day off today which was a coincidence because Thanksgiving is obviously not celebrated here so I went for a walk to find a place to meditate which I haven’t done in ages. I found a hill behind my hotel and made my way through the trees to the top where there was a small clearing. I took off my shoes, grounded and did a nice standing meditation session. It is cold outside but the leaves and ground under my feet felt warm so I tried to pull that warmth up into my body. I had some tensions in my body culminating in some aches and pains that eventually worked themselves away. When I was done, I looked up and saw this view which had a powerful affect on me. The world is out of balance. A black hole of darkness has been pulling humanity into it’s core affecting us on many levels. It’s hard not to feel helpless and hopeless. The natural instinct is to react with equal or more darkness (which I have been guilty of) however that just simply increases the power of that black hole creating more despair. The only way to counter this black hole is to look for the light through all this mess. It is difficult but that lightness is there, it is just being obscured by the darkness. We must do our best to be the light instead of reacting to the dark . It doesn’t have to change the world in one go but small pinholes can make a difference that can eventually break through. So be the light. Be love. Bring that balance back. Zhejiang

I finally completed a 25 Hour of Thunderhill race! After 3 years of trying I finally was able to complete the world’s longest race! Although we still had mechanical drama that was like deja vu from years past, our amazing crew got the car back on track and we were able to get the 🏁! Because we missed qualifying we had to start the race from the back of the field but we made it all the back to 4th in class and 9th overall. Not bad considering. I also got to drive with legends @driftkingtelevision and @tarzanyamada311 as well as @daiyoshihara . What an awesome weekend with awesome people. We have to run it back for the win next time! Here is a Hong Kong movie making tradition. Before the start of every work day the entire crew lights three sticks of incense and bows three times in four directions to give respect to the local spirits of that location and ask for a smooth work day. It is especially important on stunt days to ask the spirits to protect us from getting injured. I am not religious or superstitious but I respect this age old tradition. I did this every work day for 20 years but haven’t in over four years because I was mostly working in the US. Picked it back up on this movie even though they don’t really do it on mainland movies either. Feels good to revive the tradition. Be love. Be the light.
Finally got a chance to train @wildcardboxingclub ! I met coach Freddie Roach many years ago when he came to Hong Kong to get @mannypacquiao and Zhou Shiming ready for a fight in Macau. He told to come train whenever I was in La and for some reason it took me almost 10 years to get there. Better late than never. Freddie is an absolute legend! Hope to go back soon!

Had to delete the last post because I forgot to format it for reels so here it is again. After wrapping my film, I headed to Wuhan (which is actually an amazingly huge high tech city unlike how the Western media portrayed it) to be reunited with my DongFeng Honda racing teammates @martin_xxz @jackyoung_62 @acouto39 for a big event with long time Honda aficionados and customers to celebrate the end of the China Touring Car Championship season. The team put up a hard fight for the team championship and Jack was in the lead for overall champion but the last race at Macau was tough and the other teams had it out for them so unfortunately they narrowly missed out on both championships. It was a dramatic race in typical Macau fashion with crashes everywhere but alas luck was not on their side. Before the event, the team got a special tour of the Civic factory line. It was my first time in an automotive factory and I totally geeked out at the process. An entire car gets built in two days! The motor assembly takes about a day and the rest of the build happens on the second day. My Honda s800 took 8 months to build! It was a fascinating process! Still pumped from my double stint so chilling out watching @tarzanyamada311 do his double stint. I had a couple of hours on the track. Had fun dealing with a corded tire for the last 20 minutes, which slowed me down a couple of seconds but still managed to keep our targeted average pace. Next stint is not till morning so I can actually sleep the rest of the night! @spoonsportsusa @spoon_typeone
