Now correlation isn’t causation but when you put that with all the other areas that have been cut; social services, youth services, education, youth training programmes, community outreach schemes etc. it is hard not to see a clear trend. Cuts in opportunity and support leading to a rise in crime and victims of crime.

Reading is what? Fundamental!
Since 2010 we’ve lost almost 800 libraries and 50 of those have been post pandemic. We were told that austerity is over. That was clearly not true. Spending has not increased or reached pre austerity levels. So? It’s still austerity but we are all used to stuff not working as they should.
Libraries are an invaluable community resource. As ever the Tory’s know the cost but not the value and as a result? We all pay the price.

It’s a strange idea really that the @conservatives are the party of fiscal responsibility given their actual record.
Every time they’ve been in office over the last 75 years they’ve borrowed more but paid back less than labour. Which means we have to spend more servicing that debt. That in turn means there is less money for services that we all need.
A nations finances are not like a households finances especially not the UKs that has its own monetary system and control over that system.
When they talk about balancing the books it’s a load of hooey and have in fact almost doubled the national debt.

This parliament is breaking records! But it’s not in the way we would want. This is the first parliament where living standards for the average UK household will have fallen. This means in real terms households will be £1900 worse off.
If our wages had kept in line with EU countries like Germany we would all be around £9000 better off.

We knew that the childcare sector workforce was unhappy and now despite the governments pledges we are seeing the fruits of that with staff dropping out of the sector and nurseries and child minders closing their doors because of staffing shortages.
The tories make promises without looking at what’s actually happening, the facts on the ground. They have failed young families continuously for 13 years and despite their lofty promises they will continues to fail them.

In the space between 2008 and 2017 our sales of arms went up 192% with 2015 being the last highest at £6.9 billion (which breached international and domestic law according to amnesty).
In 2021 we sold £4.1 billion in arms
In 2022 that was £8.5 billion.
It is impossible to extricate our foreign policies from the rise in displacement of people. This year there are over 117 million people who have either been forcibly displaced or made stateless. Not all of this is down to the UK obviously but our government is feeding that situation.

Four years since this absolute piece of joy dropped! Which means four years since the season 1 @dragraceukbbc finale as well!
It’s been the most amazing ride and I’m so grateful to @worldofwonder and of course @rupaulofficial for letting this old queen wander into that pink workroom. To say I was filled with fear and nerves would be an understatement and it was definitely not a good time for me mentally but it was still worth it and I’m still so grateful.
I made friends for life and I’m so proud of all of us who were on that test run and are still out there hustling and succeeding!
I’ve had the most wonderful 4 years filled with TV, theatre, music, dance, acting, travel and the most wonderful work and more importantly fans!
