I met a survivor from the Nova music festival which took place near the Gaza border. Yonatan along with thousands of others gathered here to celebrate love and peace. He described the moments the music turned to chaos as Hamas terrorists infiltrated with rocket fire and machine guns.
Yonatan wrote a song about his experience.
He sings about the whistling bullets and falling children from his memories in this very field, but he also sings of the sense of growing hope around him as Israelis come together to help one another and fight for their right to exist.
As a mucisian who has played so many concerts just like thisโฆI simply cannot imagine this happening to me or my fans. But it could.
Yeela and her brother, Evyatar, grew up watching Big Time Rush. The joy of watching our show and listening to our music is something they shared together.
Evyatar went to a music festival on October 7th. Now he is being held hostage in Gaza.
I canโt even begin to imagine what his sister and all of these hundreds of families are going through.
Over the next few days, Israel negotiated for many of the children to be released, but itโs not over until every last hostage, including Evyatar, is returned home. They did nothing to deserve this.

Jamal is a Muslim Zaka volunteer and was one of the first responders of October 7th, responsible for collecting the bodies of the victims.
โIโm supposed to be used to these horrors, but what happened here… it was like nothing Iโve ever seen.โ
He described the state they found the bodies in, the wreckage from Palestinian civilians that joined in the looting and killing, and how still, 47 days later, he can barely sleep at night from the nightmares.
He found murdered Muslims and Jews alike, Hamas did not differentiate. As a Muslim Arab, he wants it to be clear, โThis has nothing to do with our religion. Our religion is about peace.โ Israel

Like a lot of you, I love to travel, hang out with friends and go to music festivalsโฆjust like Hersh Goldberg-Polin.
Hersh, an American-Israeli young man, went to celebrate his holiday at Nova this year, an all-night festival about peace, love, and music. Now, he is held hostage in Gaza.
There are hostages from over 30 countries, representing 5 religions and all ages. This isnโt an Israeli-Palestinian crisis. It is an international one.
In the heartbreaking conversation I had with Hershโs parents, Rachel and Jon, their determination in face of devastation moved me. They said, โeven if Hersh walks through the door tomorrow, weโll keep fighting. We will not stop until every last hostage is brought home.โ
Their fight is our fight too. We need to bring them home.
