It was an interesting experience and they ended up tasting great. The kitchen was a bit of a disaster when we were done but I think next time we make them things will go a little smoother.

Our five year old son Wesley has a rare neurological disorder called Fox G1 Syndrome, but that doesn’t prevent him from coming along on family adventures. In this video, I share some info about Fox G1 and give a little update on Wesley’s developmental progress. Do you think that time spent in the outdoors and nature is good for kids? Essentially, we definitly see Wesley progressing out in nature and we’d be interested to hear if anyone else notices the same with children who have disabilities and also with typical kids. This is a drone shot of remote, Obabaika Falls in the early morning mist that I took while on a 16-day canoe trip in the Temagami Region with my brother @ted.baird The falls likes about 400 meters up the Obabika River from its confluence with the Sturgeon River. Tough to view from the portage trail, it’s a hidden delight that few have the orovlidge to lay their eyes on. Obabika River Provincial Park
Here’s a fast way to dry out berries to preserve them using fire. It’s far faster than sun dryin them and it worls when it’s not sunny. It’s also faser than treading them along a thin piece of line and hanging them up whole over a fire indoors or other which can work to dry berries too and is mroe passive though takes forever and is harder to insure the berries are fully dry that way. This is just a small scale example of how the process can be done at camp. Really, to store any significant amount of berries away for the winter this would need to be done on a far greater scale.
