This morning The King attended an Advent Service and Christmas reception at The Coptic Orthodox Church Centre in Stevenage.
The Coptic Orthodox Church is one of the most ancient Churches in the world, founded in the first century in Egypt.
His Majesty met young volunteers from the Church’s ministries as well as members of the congregation including six-year old Taormina who presented him with a handwritten Christmas card.
Since his visit in 2013, His Majesty has attended yearly advent services which have brought together diverse Christian communities.
These annual events form part of his ongoing efforts to encourage inter-faith dialogue and a greater understanding of different religions in Britain and abroad.

The King has visited Ealing Broadway Christmas Market, where His Majesty met local business owners and stallholders – including recipients of The King’s Award for Voluntary Service.
For the eighth year running, the Christmas Market has returned to the town square, offering a host of handmade gifts, crafts and decorations. 🎄 A dedicated community hut at the market also welcomes 15 local charities and groups.
Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1985 and now attracts an annual 13 million footfall. The local community have been donating to the Centre’s partner charities: Ealing Food Bank and the Young Ealing Foundation.
This afternoon, The Queen met staff and clients at the @ashiana_network – a community-based project which supports South Asian, Middle Eastern and Turkish women and girls who are experiencing domestic violence.
Services offered by the network include crisis accommodation, specialist counselling and move-on preparation.
Her Majesty’s visit builds on her ongoing support for charities and organisations which are working in the field of Violence Against Women, and falls within the @unitednations #16days of activism.
