Being here and meeting the survivors of the Nova Music Festival and the mothers and fathers and sisters and brothers of those who are lost and those missing has been too much. I have been a part and seen our industry respond with unity to violence at live music events and this time should be no different. Our silence must end. A music peace festival is no place for murder and kidnapping. They deserve to hear our voices right now as an industry. Shame on us if we don’t.
This weekend I had the honor of meeting the most genuine authentic guy who left his life to support our people
And to show up when his industry wouldn’t even take a stand
While I had the honor of accompanying him and watching many people thank him for his work and outstanding support he said something so powerful and I’m hoping he isn’t mad I’m writing this but he said and I quote “you all keep thanking me for what I do but you are the real heroes I can delete a comment but u can’t delete a bullet “
I was lucky to take part in his trip and understand what a great guy he is
And today he took the stand at the hostage square and spoke to the families of the hostages (something I was personally grateful for being as my friend is still being held hostage) and he touched many hearts and continues to
@scooterbraun you are amazing and thank u for everything u do

#BringThemHomeNow . There are still 129 innocent hostages including 8 Americans being held by Hamas. Return the hostages to their families and let’s end the violence. Currently Hamas is torturing these families and the families in Gaza. Let’s end the cycle of death. #bringthemhomenow

An honest unfiltered conversation with IDF soldier and born and raised Israeli @lilaq_logan98 . This is a complicated time for many but my goal in going to Israel was to show human stories with all the misinformation. As you can see, she is not a white supremacist genocidal maniac. People I met there want peace and not war and the suffering of others is something no one wants. Here are her words. I think it is important to hear what she is saying. No one wants innocent lives lost and everyone wants peace. She is one of the most honest people I have ever met and these are her opinions coming from someone living there. Honored to have met her
Had the honor of spending time with the most amazing woman I have met in Israel. The mother of @bring.hersh.home Rachel Goldberg-Polin. Even with her son gone now 77 days as he is held hostage by Hamas… she is calling on the best of humanity to bring the hostages home and stop the cycle of violence. With the pain in her eyes she is asking all of us to help her bring her son home. I will share more of the conversation later but I wish she was in a place of leadership. The world would be a better place. This moment really moved me. It’s time to be the best versions of ourselves. She told me we can’t see each other as the “other.” She is right and I’m grateful to have met her. I want us to remember that Hersh is an innocent American civilian who was dancing at the Nova music festival when he was kidnapped and injured by Hamas. Bring him and all the hostages home and end the cycle of violence. #bringthemhomenow
Coming to a region at war has been an overwhelming experience. I have not met one person who wants war. I have met families torn apart and friends lost and people who pray for a better future. I have met brave people who want the greater good. Last night though I witnessed a moment I will never forget . My friend @natasharaquel has her first child who is only 5 months old and her husband Rotem has been away from his young daughter as he was called into Gaza in the reserves. This is not a professional soldier. This is a young man with a young business and family. Every day since this war began I have watched her pray that there is a safe return of the love of her life and father of her young daughter. Last night we were at dinner and she got a call. Her eyes lit up as it was Rotem and he said he had just a minute but wanted to know how she was and where she was. She replied the restaurant we had dragged her out to as her mother in law watched their daughter. He said he had to go back and loved her and hung up. She cried to us and spoke of him and 30 min later as we looked at pics of him he appeared in from of us to surprise her. It was one of the most beautiful things i have ever witnessed. This family doesn’t want war. They want to protect their people and the future of their daughter. And yes my song choice shows I’ve been paying attention:) I pray for all the young daughters in this region and that they all have a better life and I’m grateful I got to witness the power of this moment for Natasha and Rotem.

These kids are survivors of the nova music peace festival in Israel on Oct 7th. Over 300 were murdered and over 40 kidnapped while celebrating music. We as an industry stayed silent and this is what they are doing today. In the face of hate and loss they are choosing love and peace and trying to heal. They are music lovers and we have abandoned them because of politics. They deserve better from us. I gave 20 years to our industry and we have always used our voices to speak up for peace and against violence especially in regard to live music. This moment should be no different. These survivors and the 40 hostages are still waiting for our voices. #wecanstandforallinnocentpeople
