Bhakti Kubavat Instagram – Merry Christmas ✨
Bhakti Kubavat Instagram – That was my childhood – simple & beautiful – just like a bed of roses. On the left is my mama’s son sunny! The elder brother who was so much fun. We would get chocolates from Tanzania and my nani would send us frocks & games. We were so excited when he would visit us. Next to him is Kanjibhai – the first caretaker who stood next to my dad when he opened his first clinic. My dad taught him everything, from taking an ecg to protecting us when he was not around saving lives. Ofcourse next to him is me – with a red rose and gulabi lipstick, yes i was allowed to wear makeup on special occasions like rakshabandhan, diwali & my birthday, haha. By my side is my twin brother and my partner in crime. For me he was my hero – whatever vicky will do – i WILL do. We would go to school in ghoda-gadi, play playstation, nintendo, cricket & our favorite was “nadi-parvat”, keep the coins on a railway tracks, chill will “kaju”. And above him is Didi – always protective & always helping mom. She would burn bridges if she would see tears in my eyes. She loved me/us fiercely. I would always look forward to weekends for we knew we would be chilling with the lions and the deers at sasan & go on a roadtrip. I’m so proud of my childhood as it was nothing less than a fairytale. I don’t remember i ever cried – yes i mean i would once in a while only when my house help “Lata” would go home or when kaju (the boy who lived in the hut next to the railway tracks – our best friend) would go away for find work near the suburbs. We would wait for him to join us in the evening and tell us some crazy ghost-stories. This was our life!
And imagine now, everyday feels like a struggle! I wish i could tell the 5 year old me, that growing up is the most toughest thing. I would’ve got my arms stronger to save myself & protect the people i love.
Those were the best days of my life ✨
So my advice, don’t forget to cherish lil moments along the way :)
P.S. Did you miss my bindi ? ;)
