Walking down the beach with my father, my other best friend, to my man was something I just couldn’t ever have imagined. The week was an explosion of love, completely overwhelming and something I never wanted to end. I literally didn’t go to sleep the next day to try and keep it going 🤣. There’s somethings in life you can’t plan, and they turn out better than anything you could have ever expected. This was that, that special day most woman dream about. Two insanely crazy wild and loving families came together and the rest is history. I’m beyond grateful for everyone that traveled across the world, and for those not there, we missed you dearly and spoke of you often. There’s so much more… this captures barley one percent but this was another great week out here in Asia. Between @karma.kandara.bali for our wedding to ubud between sound healings, temples, prayers to the earth, juice cleanses, meditation, jungle love fests, quality family time and now to the beach again. Love covers it all, Family is the best thing to ever exist, and friends are family so it’s all in one. May the memories keep carrying on. I don’t even know where to start but I actually look forward to sharing more of the love we all got to experience in the last few weeks and hope you feel it too. Traveling around the world with my boy ♥️ watching life through his eyes sure is a whole new beautiful way to be looking at the planet. The pure soul of a child is the greatest thing to be in existence with.
Part 1: The wedding
Karma you blessed us with your beauty for an entire week. This was just one evening of glory, and considerably the best night of my life.
You took care of our wild, crazy gang of 192 humans 24 hours a day never missing a beat. The energy behind the hospitality and actual connection we got to feel from every staff member was unfathomable. Friendships were created, lasting soul connections, a week shared of deep unconditional love. Unforgettable.
I reached out to the owner John Spence 9 months ago after one amazing night at Karma 11 years ago. We hadn’t talked since, I told him I wanted to get married at his spot and he immediately said yes.
The team took over, we did very little other than show up, make a few surprises and pick some music to create moments of intimacy – Which I’m a huge fan of. As my husband always says “plans are for people that don’t know what they’re doing” I couldn’t agree more, and this week was proof. Let go, trust, enjoy, be present, don’t have expectations. As 2 people that don’t love making plans other than for work, together we all created an evening of absolute magic.
Dancing, crying, laughing, speeches, debauchery, deep chats, kisses, the sweatiest hugs of all time, loss, love, two souls got to join forces and families that will forever be strong together lifting each other up and always showing up for each other.
I feel more grateful than words could describe, luckier than ever. But I know it takes a lot of good humans, a lot of right choices in life, a lot of hard work with family and friendship to land where we all landed. I give credit to all of those in our lives to have gotten us here, to live in love and to spread it where ever we go. We will continue walking to the beat of our own drum and hopefully be contagious to many, as many have been to us. Biggest thanks to my Mom, Dad, Karin, Chris and John for shaping us 2 kiddos into who we are today.
Thank you, on repeat, Damien for being the man I truly knew… love was worth waiting for. You feel love, it’s in you, it’s undeniable and then you choose love and I’m so glad I chose you. ♥️

Karma Kandara made a little dream of mine come true by letting me fire dance again and bring step up into the wedding for the garter toss. The side comments are great. Was a highlight of the evening for me and an awesome surprise. The memories, friends, loved ones, family and new family haven’t left my body for a second. Never been so grateful for the week of moments we got to live and experience together. So much love… too much fun. Will hold onto every second of this night and this whole trip forever. Hardest video to watch and the best, I just rewatched the beginning 3 times so I could see my dad right in front of me. He’s one of my best friends. I’m so lucky to have a father figure like him. Nothing is harder than moving across the planet when you have the most incredible family and community of friends that got you exactly to where you are. There’s no guilt because I love what I’m doing and wouldn’t change a thing but there’s guilt because it hurts to miss them and know it’s returned. It’s so crazy to be 2 years into Africa now, having moved to a different country than I originally arrived in but I’ve never been happier, literally. I now say, follow you dreams the rest will come. I have my partner I couldn’t have ever imagined that I’m about to marry, a child that I didn’t know could exist, that strengthens every piece of me yet challenges everything Ive ever know. 2 step children that are becoming my world and make me question every part of my being, and living a life of passion and dreams… the good hard work that I didn’t know was possible, to be possible. It’s so good to be back in South Africa where a lot of it started, and where my son was born. Our dreams are actually bigger than we think or know, and trust is so hard but it exists. People are really struggle more than we think or know, animals are still be killed for human consumption. I imagine a moment in time where we blink and slowly close our eyes and the entire world has a moment where they feel a peace blanket being laid over them and every microorganism is actually connected. Just for a second. Could you imagine? How beautiful would that be? Unconditional love and forgiveness is a necessity. With out it we get very lost, this I know. Hurt people, hurt people. We are taught hatred not born with it. “Love is the weapon” @elephant_heart but we don’t need weapons @int.anti.poaching.foundation there is a world where war is not the answer, an human connection can be found again. I promise you, that I will fight for. I will never give up on love. I’ll never give up on humanity, I was humbly reminded this week of why I, am on planet earth. So thank you God, and my family to let me live my dreams.
A little magical birthday yesterday thank you Damien for getting me back in the water! We went free diving and have had ptsd over an ear issue I had years ago! It felt so good to be back in the underworld. The ocean, one of the most important parts of our planet. It was refreshing and gave me hope to see life underwater again. With everything going on in the world right now, all of its heaviness, torture, and disconnect. It was a moment of deep connection to the planet, silence, mediation and therapy watching the turtles and fish live their lives the way they do. Complete peace, other than when we found a Nemo fish and it’s baby looking terrified to come out of a plant it was hiding in. 🤣very grateful for this trip and all the humans we’ve been with for the last month. It’s been a difficult come down actually and personally confronting in all the most beautiful ways. Feelin lucky and blessed to be alive and surrounded by so much unconditional love and human connection. May the overwhelm, adventure, spontaneity, family time, and abundance continue on our beautiful honeymoon! ♥️
