This involves getting your secondary and tertiary medical treatments to be taken care of free of cost. 🪪 You need to create an Ayushman card for the same. One can create it online on the website beneficiary.nha.gov.in or can go to the Jan Seva Kendra to get it made. 🩺 One can check their eligibility from this website pmjay.gov.in. Alternatively you can also call the Ayushman Bharat Yojana Cell centre number 14555 or 1800-111-565. 👩‍💻 All other details about the scheme can be found from this website: https://nha.gov.in/PM-JAY 🪪 More than 27 crore Aayushman cards have been created till date. 🏥 The best thing is it covers any pre-existing illness too at the time of getting the card. Medical expenses of upto 3 days pre-hospitalisation and upto 15 days post hospitalisation are also covered. PM-JAY has been rolled out for the bottom 40 per cent of poor and vulnerable population. In absolute numbers, this is close to 12 crore households. And it is the world’s largest health insurance scheme fully financed by the government. If you still might have those Rs 2000 notes hidden somewhere that you didn’t realise you had, here’s what you can do! 1. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had announced the withdrawal of ₹2000 denomination banknotes from circulation vide Press Release 2023-2024/257 dated May 19, 2023. 2. The facility for exchange of the ₹2000 banknotes was also available at the 19 Issue Offices of the Reserve Bank (RBI Issue Offices) from May 19, 2023. From October 09, 2023, RBI Issue Offices, in addition to exchanging ₹2000 denomination banknotes across the counters, are also accepting ₹2000 banknotes from individuals / entities for deposit to their bank accounts. Further, members of the public from within the country can send ₹2000 banknotes through India Post from any post office in the country, to any of the RBI Issue Offices for credit to their bank accounts in India. The format of application for credit into the bank account is enclosed. The 19 cities: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram 3. The total value of ₹2000 banknotes in circulation, which amounted to ₹3.56 lakh crore as at the close of business on May 19, 2023 when the withdrawal of ₹2000 banknotes was announced, has declined to ₹0.10 lakh crore as at the close of business on October 31, 2023. Thus, more than 97% of the ₹2000 banknotes in circulation as on May 19, 2023, has since been returned. 4. The window for deposit and / or exchange the ₹2000 banknotes continues to be available at the 19 Issue Offices of RBI. Members of the public are requested to avail the facility of sending the ₹2000 banknotes through post offices of India Post. In order to make this process easier and simpler, Government had launched Jeevan Pramaan App through which one can upload their Life Certificate digitally with just a few clicks.
