Christine Evangelista Instagram – The Asaro family farm in Partanna, Sicily has been producing some of the worlds finest, high quality olive oils for hundreds of years and in the last twenty, began it’s conversion to organic with sustainable methods.
I had the privilege of touring the farm, meeting the Asaro family and having them dedicate a tree to me in my family’s name. Gifting me a personal production of my very own smooth, mineral and pepper finish, organic, non-gmo extra virgin olive oil.
Thank you so much Tomasso and Silvia for inviting me to your family garden and gifting me my own olive oil production from the literal roots of my heritage in Italy.
The olive tree, branch and its leaves have so many cultural and symbolic meanings. The greatest for me being the love that pours through the meals we prepare with it.
