Directors Margaret McGoldrick and Jim McMorrow and EP @kerry.roy have been at this labor of love for so long and it meant so much to sit and talk about what Debra’s legacy has meant to me.
In July 2018 at the SDCC press line for #HALLOWEEN after getting the band back together for a new installment 40 years after the original changed movies forever, I was told things were running behind and I had time for one question so I asked @jamieleecurtis what she thought Debra Hill would think of all of the excitement because frankly, I felt like her name had been left out of the bigger conversation up until that point. Jamie smiled and shared stories, we shared tears and a hug (you can watch the video on the fourth slide!) and it is truly one of the biggest highlights of my career. Soon through these wonderful filmmakers’ determination and passion, the world will hear more of Debra’s story. It’s about damn time. 🧡🖤🧡
