Hats off to them, their parents, their teachers and supporters and especially to the great man behind it all who they so lovingly call -” Magic Uncle”. A little care does go a long way and such care spreads hope and light. I wasnt alone but invited by Type1 diabetic welfare community to be a part of their program and I was so happy to be amongst fellow type1s and their parents. I was with family. We learned from these special children as we helped cheer them on. Whether it be an invisible or a visible disease or disability, it’s difficult to see a third person caring so much and doing the much needed and more. It fills me with hope. We type1s don’t look I’ll and hence others find it difficult to believe that we struggle daily too. In such a special place, with such special people … I feel gratitude, hope and yes, love.
