Set my expectations too high for the @surreyhillsgrocer.sg Raffles City branch after being blown away by the Roast Chicken dish 🍗 at Ion. Saw good reviews on the seafood dishes, only to find out from the menu that day that they might be too spicy for me. 🤷🏻♀️ My verdict: I enjoyed the Crab Avo, and would prob come back for that again! Intended this to be a 🇯🇵 binge-eating trip, but it turned out to be #去到哪里吃到哪里 Nevertheless, sharing some meals that left an impression! And including the google food ratings for your reference! 1. “Komeraku Ochazuke” at Shinjuku Lumine EST – essentially, it’s just 泡饭 😂 but it was the most crowded restaurant there, 很多上班族～ So we had to give it a try! Not bad! The soup that we additionally ordered was so so comforting 暖胃暖心 (4.3 🌟) 2. “Nakau” in Shiomi – 24hr eatery near our hotel specialising in Oyakodon & Udon. Ate this twice when all the other restaurants in shopping malls were closed 🤷🏻♀️ Value for money though! S$25 三个人吃饱饱 (3.4 🌟) 3. “Manneken” – Belgium Waffles that are so popular in Tokyo! I recommend the sweet potato flavour, and the chilled rare cheese one! I would def eat Manneken again! (4.3 🌟) @manneken_waffle 4. “Marion Crepes” – This is like a must-eat when you’re at Harajuku Takeshitadori St. Actually lotsa crepes/snacks there. All long queues! 😱 I’m not a fan of whipped cream but 这个我喜欢！(4 🌟) 5. RF1 SOZAI at Scramble Square Shibuya – All kinds of salads here! Love love love this 🦐 🥑 salad seasoned with basil mayonnaise. Ate it for the first time last yr. Back for more this yr!
