The 33-year-old earned similar accolades from People, which named her the 2023 Most Intriguing Person of the Year, and Forbes, which named her No. 1 on its list of the world’s most powerful women in media and entertainment.

Since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war, journalists have been working tirelessly to bring us the news from Gaza, and it’s been extremely difficult to get these stories out. I spoke to @cnn International Correspondent @jomanacnn about why reporting from Gaza has been so challenging, the important work journalists on the ground are doing, the toll this war has had on civilians in Gaza, and much more. Head to the link in my bio to watch our entire conversation.
The TV event of the season has come to an end, and I capped it off with the stars of the show! Here’s a sneak peek of my interview with the happy couple from The @goldenbachabc about the big finale, Gerry’s response to reports that he’s been dishonest, and where he and Theresa plan to live once they’ve officially tied the knot. On Oct. 7, then-3-year-old Abigail Mor Edan underwent unthinkable trauma when Hamas killed her parents. Though initially pinned beneath her father’s body, Abigail fled to a neighbor’s home, where she was then abducted by Hamas. After being held hostage for 50 days — and spending her fourth birthday in captivity — Abigail was released this week during a brief ceasefire. As a dual citizen of Israel and the U.S., she was the first American hostage to return home.
I sat down with the Abigail’s great aunt @liznaftali and Abigail’s cousin, Noa Naftali to discuss the family’s harrowing story and what’s next for Abigail and her two siblings. Link in bio to read more.

“When you can bring [the audience] to really care about what’s going on and then make them laugh? There’s nothing better.” 💚
Norman Lear, who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 101, was one of the most successful and prolific TV producers and writers of all time. One of his hit shows, “All in the Family”, held the No. 1 spot from 1971 to 1976 in the Nielsen Ratings, and it was called the fourth-greatest TV show of all time by TV Guide. It earned 22 Emmy Awards, including four for best comedy series. Like most of Lear’s shows, the episode themes were about racism, civil rights, class struggles, homophobia, women’s liberation and more and it challenged the way Americans viewed each other and the world around them.

🚨Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said Wednesday he will resign from Congress at the end of the year.
McCarthy, the California Republican who was ousted as speaker by a faction of his own party two months earlier, said he is leaving “to serve America in new ways.”
“I know my work is only getting started,” McCarthy said in an op-ed in the @wsj.
The announcement, which was expected, came the week before the House is scheduled to depart Capitol Hill for the rest of the year.
“I will continue to recruit our country’s best and brightest to run for elected office. The Republican Party is expanding every day, and I am committed to lending my experience to support the next generation of leaders,” McCarthy wrote in his op-ed.

🎧 My two guests on this week’s episode of Next Question are @ronen.bergman and Adam Goldman, the authors of the recent @nytimes article titled “Israel Knew Hamas’s Attack Plan More Than A Year Ago.” Go and read this fascinating article if you haven’t already.
Bergman and Goldman outline how Israel’s inability to prevent the October 7 attack stemmed from three primary factors: a misinterpretation of intent, an underestimation of capabilities, and a lack of dependable intelligence. Access the full interview at the link in my bio. 🔗
